Project Facts: Batching controls were provided by Egan’s IntelliBatch team for a retrofit to an existing Voeller Mixers equipment plant in Kenosha, WI. The team was tasked with automating a complex single mixer three-machine pipe plant. The system can operate independently, automatically supplying each machine with products based on their individual demands to maximize consistency and efficiency. Completing this project provided Oldcastle Infrastructure with advanced automation controls customized to their specifications. Oldcastle Infrastructure has many facilities across North America; its operations teams are constantly innovating within the industry to put themselves at the forefront.

A painless install and more efficient batching system

From the early planning stages to the installation and programming of the batch system, Egan provided us with exactly what they promised: a painless install and more efficient batching system. We have a fairly complex setup; with two mixers, liquid color system, and multiple belts and aggregate bins. Egan understood our needs and did everything in their power to fulfill them

This system has dramatically increased our cycle and production time as well as improved product consistency. And, our operations people love the ease of working within the system. My only regret is that we didn’t utilize Egan’s system sooner!
